Odayme Quesada, MD, is the Medical Director of The Christ Hospital Women’s Heart Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. She has provided a talk on “Hypertension and Pregnancy” for CurrentMD Cardiology. After completing her cardiology residency, Dr. Quesada completed a clinical cardiovascular fellowship and a National Institute of Health T32 Cardiovascular Research Fellowship in women’s cardiovascular disease at Cedars-Sinai Smidt Heart Institute in Los Angeles, where she trained with the nation’s leaders and pioneers in the field of women’s cardiovascular disease. Dr. Quesada received the Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute Excellence in Cardiology Fellowship Award in recognition and appreciation for work in clinical care, teaching, research, leadership, and academic achievement and numerous awards for her research. She has presented her work at national (ACC, AHA) and international conferences (ESC). Dr. Quesada was awarded the prestigious NIH Career Development Award for a 5-year term for her work to better understand the increased cardiovascular risk associated with preeclampsia.
