Dr. Kathryn Berlacher is a clinical cardiologist with added expertise in adult echo. She serves as Program Director of Cardiovascular Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including UPMC Presbyterian, UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital, and UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. She is a cardiologist and is certified in cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine and adult echocardiography by the National Board of Echo. She is the medical director of the Magee Women’s Heart Program as well as the program director of cardiovascular fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Her clinical interests include women’s heart disease, including pregnancy and heart disease risks, as well as medical education. As well as her MD, Dr. Berlacher has an MS in Medical Education from the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Berlacher has served in leadership roles in developing training standards for cardiovascular training. She has written several papers about graduate medical education and thought papers on diversity, inclusion, and equity. She was a taskforce member for COCATS 4.
