Dr. Morris provides educational content to K2P CurrentMD programs focused on acute decompensated heart failure and heart failure with reduced ejection fraction. She is the Director of Heart Failure Research and Associate Program Director of the Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship Clinical Investigator Track at Emory University School of Medicine (Atlanta, GA). Dr. Morris’ research is focused on mechanisms that underlie race- and gender disparities in heart failure risk and progression, including the role of biologic determinants such as biomarkers of oxidative stress and endothelial dysfunction, as well as social determinants of health including neighborhoods that amplify risk for adverse outcomes in heart failure.
